With roots reaching deep down, to 1993, when a Dutch immigrant, Mr Dirk Tijssen designed and built some tunnels for his own home use, Dicla's story is an interesting one, and one that reaches far and wide.
These tunnels were a roaring success, and, over the following two decades, Dicla Farm and Seed (Pty) Ltd grew into a flourishing business with a trial of horticulture projects right across South Africa, and, reaching well beyond our borders.
In 2010 Dicla entered a new era, with Johan Tijssen, son of the founder Dirk Tijssen, at the wheel. A time of great growth has started, and with numerous lines of well-known products, and the best service available, Dicla's reputation spread far and wide.
About 11 years later, during turbulent times in South Africa, Johan's son, Dirk, in partnership with Bruce Schroeder, took on the challenge of taking over and developing Dicla's Horticulture division, now know as Dicla Horticulture, into a company that will strive to reach new heights every day. The brand new slogan "Think Growth" says it all, and with friendly service and excellent products Dicla Horticulture will be striving to offer their clients more, and better, than ever before!
